Equity Theory
eh.kvuh.tee thee.uh.ree
Also known as Adams' equity theory, it is based on the principle that people's actions are driven by fairness, and aims to strike a balance between an employee's input (what an employee gives) and output (what an employee gains).
At work, the equity theory takes into account standards for fairness, compensation parameters, knowing what your team is passionate about and understanding the demographics (education and experience level) of each employee.
