Base Salary

Also known as Base Wage Rate, it is the minimum fixed amount of money paid for a job (not inclusive of additional allowances, bonuses, etc.)

Base salary does not include compensation such as bonuses, health insurance, stock options & commissions. To ensure the best outcome in return for the salary paid, it is key to establish certain goals, expectations and measurable outcomes from the employees. Pay & position hikes may occur with subsequent appraisals as the job responsibilities multiply and become more complex in nature.
